3rd workshop on Physics of Volcanoes 2017

It will take place on 8 and 9 March 2017 at the Department für Geo- und Umweltwissenschaften, Theresienstraße 41, 80333 München.
We are looking forward to novel presentations about magmatic and volcanic processes. The aim of this annual workshop series is to strengthen the links between researchers at German institutions by establishing a forum for the exchange of scientific results, technical developments and process understanding.
There will be four topical sessions:
- Physics and chemistry of melts
- Volcano monitoring
- Physics of magmatic processes
- Volcano hazards and risk mitigation
There will not be overlapping sessions, ensuring that attendees remain together to maximize interactions and exposure to new ideas and subjects.
Registration: Online registration will open in October 2016 at a cost of 10 €
Abstract submission will open in November 2016 and close on 31 January 2017.
